NYCE RENOS
A Temple Room Given a Proper Focal Point
ISKCON’s temple room had grown into itself over decades: string lights across a plank ceiling, mismatched drapery, and an altar wall that had never been designed as one. Nyce Renos rebuilt the sanctuary end of the hall. A coved arch ceiling was framed above the altar and finished with gold corbels and applied ornament, with concealed colour-changing cove lighting and a chandelier at the centre. Behind the deities, a timber slat wall replaced the old backdrop. New drapery, marble-look pilasters, decorative panels and fresh flooring completed the room and gave it a proper focal point.
