Mercury Bay

Mercury Bay is a Winnipeg bungalow on a quiet cul-de-sac, and the first decision was what to keep. The original hardwood was solid, so Nyce Renos refinished it and rebuilt the main floor around it. Twin arched niches now flank a linear electric fireplace with a chunky oak mantel, and the kitchen came back in greige shaker cabinetry with quartz counters, a glazed tile backsplash and brass hardware. The bathroom was rebuilt with a double vanity, and the basement developed into a second living level with a games room and a slat-front bar.
